NAEA 2013 03/07/13

Spending the day with thousands who agree "art matters" is especially satisfying.

Presenting to a group of educators who are similarly passionate and inspiringly creative is motivating.

I attended "The Art of Conversation: A Collaborative Community Arts Project on Social Change." This was a fascinating research project conducted by students that intertwined art, ethnography, and literature to evoke social change.

I'm currently listening to Katherine Douglas share her philosophy and experiences with child art making, especially "beginners' attempts" and considering if teaching has a "scribble stage.." "Revisiting Lowenfeld's Scribble Stage"

And you just can't beat the vendors' arena at an art education conference...

Bought the t-shirt

Hanging out with Andy...
