NAEA 2013 ~ 03/06/13

8:30 AM
I am Ft. Worth, TX bound and will be posting highlights of my National Art Education Association conference journey here.

Presentation resources for Connecting Communities with Chopsticks will be posted at Paige and Peggy's Excellent Chinese Adventure and more #NAEA13 highlights will be included here as the week progresses. Please check back!

4:50 PM
Made it to Ft. Worth uneventfully. All transportation went as planned. The Residence Inn is very comfortable and I might even get some work accomplished here. I ate good tortilla soup and complimentary salsa and queso (which I retrieved from the trunk of a car)  at Chuys located around the corner from the hotel right past the appropriately named Matisse Dr...

I'm a few miles from the convention center so I'm waiting for a 5:30 shuttle to take me there and I will register tonight to avoid the mad rush and long lines tomorrow morning. I'll receive the coveted conference program and study it all night...with at least a thousand presentations to choose from.

I'm especially excited about the International Delight Amaretto coffee creamer the hotel offers.

7:30 PM
Registered for the conference and toured Houston Street...now to prepare for tomorrow's presentation...

Perfect time to register...no line!

Ft. Worth is a great city Shelby and this is my first visit. I took a little tour of the "Stockyards" last night...very Texan. Loved it!
